4aGoodCause.com is a service of OpenConsult Inc., which is based in Kennesaw, Georgia. We're a small group of consultants, developers and designers whose mission is to help the nonprofit community better leverage the Internet to further their good causes.

We started as a Web development company in April 1998. We've built hundreds of successful Web sites and Web applications for dozens of clients all over the world, and have made a niche for ourselves in the nonprofit market. We believe that the success of a company should be measured by its contribution to the community and we hope the nonprofit sites we've built help fulfill that goal.

How 4aGoodCause.com Was Born

Back in late 2000, some of our clients were having trouble accepting online donations, online member registration and other online payments. Most had no current solution and wanted to provide an easy way for their donors to give to them. Some of our clients were using clunky and complex shopping carts provided by their ISPs, with little success. Some were even using online forms that were not secured, opening their organization to serious liability.

To help our clients, we programmed a simple tool that could securely process any online payment. We made it easy to use for both nonprofit and donor. One of our first deployments was for the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits so they could sign up members online.

Since then, our service has sign up thousands of donors, members and other nonprofit supporters and conducted millions of dollars in online transactions for nonprofits of all types and sizes.
